The company

BPW Bergische Achsen Kommanditgesellschaft is the parent company of the BPW Group. With around 1,500 employees, the family-owned company has been developing and producing complete running gear systems for truck trailers and semi-trailers at its headquarters in Wiehl since 1898. The owner-managed BPW Group currently employs 6,945 people in over 50 countries and achieved a consolidated turnover of 1.632 billion euros in 2021.

About the project

The aim of the project is to enable a 360-degree view of the customer within the decentralized group of companies. For the first time, there was to be a standardized CRM system across the entire BPW Group with all sales-relevant data. After the start of the project in 2017, the companies in Germany, Sweden and Switzerland went live within three months in the first phase. Since then, functions have been continuously expanded and rolled out to other national companies.

To give BPW the necessary freedom to shape the future of the company, it was looking for support for SAP support services. The productive operation of the existing SAP system should be ensured at a high level, while the company’s internal IT department can focus on the digitization projects of the future – such as the conversion to SAP S/4HANA. As a long-standing partner of the company and SAP-certified PCoE (Partner Center of Expertise), UNIORG takes over support for the existing SAP system landscape.
