Treasury Management

UNIORG Treasury Management

UNIORG Treasury Management: The central objective of treasury management is to safeguard the investment and refinancing policy, as well as to hedge the credit/market risks resulting from the operating business.

In recent years, treasury systems have become established, particularly in large companies. Many managers have recognized that macroeconomic factors, among others, can have a considerable influence on business activities and the continued existence of their company.

Political events, wars or a pandemic have a strong influence on our global value chains. Supply bottlenecks and inflationary prices have a significant impact on your business. In addition to your own supply difficulties, such events can also drive many of your customers into insolvency.

The resulting changes in your company’s liquidity must therefore be identified as quickly as possible in order to respond with an appropriate financing strategy. In addition, bad debt losses, foreign currency and commodity price risks from purely operational business can have a major impact on your business success.

FAQ
What is Treasury Management?

Treasury Management deals with the strategic management of liquidity, credit and market risks and is therefore responsible for the company’s central investment and refinancing policy. In addition, the market risk arising from the operating business is managed by mapping derivatives (on foreign currencies, commodities and interest rates). It thus ensures the ability to do business and contributes to the company’s success. In addition to these core treasury tasks, the payment transaction functions are also included.

Various risks arising from the operating business, such as bad debt losses or sharp rises in commodity prices, can lead to changes in the company’s liquidity. These must be identified as quickly as possible in order to be able to react with an appropriate financing and risk management strategy. Treasury management includes these and many other functions and is therefore an important part of a professional finance department. Based on the defined treasury strategy, the implementation of treasury management software can automate many work steps and thus relieve treasurers in their daily work.

  • Investment/refinancing/hedging policy
  • Liquidity management/planning
  • External payment transactions (payment factory, bank communication)
  • Cash management/daily planning
  • Optimization of internal payment transactions
  • Receivables management (including factoring)
  • Market and credit risk management
