SAP Cloud for Customer has now been in use for over ten years. During this time, the requirements for CRM solutions and sales processes have continued to evolve. Now there is another new addition to SAP’s Customer Experience product portfolio: SAP Sales Cloud V2.This is not another upgrade, but a completely new application. It is built on a new platform in the public cloud of a hyperscaler and includes numerous improvements as well as new functionalities.
The V2 impresses with numerous innovations that significantly simplify and speed up sales work, from an improved user interface to new intelligent features that are orientated towards modern sales work processes. Among other things, sales staff benefit from reduced click rates, shorter loading times and optimised search functions.
One example of the new intelligent features of V2 is Guided Selling. This feature harmonises the sales process, from the creation of opportunities to the classification of sales deals, all in one workspace. The system not only maps the sales process, but also offers suggestions based on predefined sales strategies to guide the user to a successful deal.
These and many other AI-supported functions as well as new simplified workspaces make sales work easier than ever. The basic structure of the sales funnel and the lead-to-cash core process remain the same. SAP Sales Cloud V2 therefore offers the opportunity to work in a familiar way in a new and intuitive environment with improved functions.
With SAP Sales Cloud V2, SAP has created another building block for the future of end-to-end sales processes in the cloud. However, this does not mean that existing users of SAP Sales Cloud V1 need to worry: No end-of-support has been scheduled by SAP so far. It will continue to be maintained, updated and improved. SAP is also continuing to work on transition tools to facilitate the changeover from Sales Cloud V1 to V2.
