We all know that, depending on the complexity of the company, many processes have to be mapped in an ERP system. This involves a lot of fields, options and menus for follow-up actions. On the one hand, it is important that these options are available to the user, as this is the only way to map the various business transactions. On the other hand, the so-called ‘user experience’ suffers as soon as the scroll bar has to be used in a screen. Depending on the industry, companies have to deal with 50 items or more in a document. The challenge now is to maintain an overview so that no errors creep in.
SAP would like to help you with this and released the ‘Maximise grid’ function some time ago. This allows the user to hide all unnecessary areas during data entry and concentrate fully on the items.
Once all items have been entered and the prices and availability have been checked, the grid is simply minimised again and the document can be added. In our opinion, this is a small but very useful feature.
Sounds good? Then why not try it out right away? In our video we show you how it works!
Hint
Do you or your colleagues have to enter a large number of items manually every day? If so, it’s worth thinking about whether this process is really efficient or should be automated. Online shop connections, EDI processes and other methods can help here. Your team will have more time again and can focus on the cases that actually require personalised processing.
