Newsletter sign-ups – lead generation made easy

Newsletter subscriptions are one of the most important sources of digital leads – which makes it all the more important to capture them quickly and easily in the system. SAP Sales Cloud can not only send the newsletter, but also automatically create new registrations as leads in the system using the Integration Suite: the registration form sends the person’s information to the Integration Suite, which creates a lead in Sales Cloud. The leads are designed according to the company’s individual specifications so that all important information is immediately available.

An example: If a prospect signs up for the newsletter with marketing consent, this lead is created with the category “Newsletter registration” and the status “Open.” The prospect then receives a double opt-in email with a confirmation link. When the link is clicked, the status of the lead changes to “qualified” and can be used directly in newsletter campaigns from the Sales Cloud. Leads that remain in “open” status for too long are deleted after a specified period of time. In the Sales Cloud, you can check at any time how many leads are still awaiting double opt-in.

  • Double opt-in via the cloudEven for companies whose website service providers do not offer double opt-in, this can also be managed via the SAP Sales Cloud: with the right configuration of workflow rules, it is possible for the cloud to automatically send confirmation emails via the company’s mail server.
  • Business card scanner for long trade fair days It’s not just digital leads that can be easily captured using the Sales Cloud and the Integration Suite. Those who prefer personal contact, for example at a trade fair, can also easily capture the contacts they meet there in the Sales Cloud using a business card scanner. Simply connect the scanner’s API to the Integration Suite and all leads are available in the cloud for further processing.
