Optimize your payment transactions: Manage complex banking processes centrally, securely, and efficiently with SAP solutions.
Electronic payment transactions are an integral part of business operations, which have become increasingly complex in recent years due to a variety of internal and external factors. The answer to a heterogeneous banking landscape is a central SAP payment solution that communicates securely with the various banks and also ensures transparent payment processing for all banks. Further optimization can be achieved through the use of SAP In-House Cash (including Payment Factory and Internal Payments).
With optimized, automatic account statement processing in SAP, your company can also significantly reduce the manual workload for employees in accounting.
In addition to connecting SAP solutions, we are also happy to advise you on alternative non-SAP payment platforms, such as Vitusa.

The central payment channel is S/4 HANA Advanced Payment Management (APM), which consolidates payment flows from various payment sources, including non-SAP systems. One example is payroll accounting, which is outsourced in many companies. With APM, this can be integrated into the central payment landscape. The Advanced Payment Input Manager helps to harmonize financial flows. It can also process non-standard payment file formats, thus contributing to a smooth implementation process.

The generated payment orders are automatically forwarded to Bank Communication Management (BCM), another component of SAP Payment Transactions. The approval workflow for releasing payments can be defined in BCM. Payments can then be grouped (e.g., by payment amount), approved, and released by authorized persons. The payment runs can then be monitored and modified in the payment status monitor.
Bank communication is handled by the scalable, cloud-based solution SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity (MBC) or non-SAP solutions (e.g., Vitusa), which enable a connection between your system (Release ERP 6.0 or higher) and your house banks. The connection can be established via SWIFT, EBICS, or a host-to-host connection. With the integration of MBC, account statements can be imported and processed automatically. The processing of account statements triggers the corresponding postings in FI, as well as the process in Cash Management and In-House Cash (central cash receipt). This means that information on daily disposition and payment status is always available to you.

Another component in the payment process is the cloud solution SAP Digital Payments Add-On, which guarantees secure and efficient processing of real-time payments and credit card payments. This is SAP’s response to the growing demand for alternative payment methods.
