Check-VAT solves the “whitelist” problem in Poland

On 01.09.2019, a “White List of Taxable Persons”, an electronic directory containing detailed information on VATable persons in Poland, was published. The purpose of this list is to facilitate the search for business partners and their verification.

As of 01.01.2020, all taxable persons making payments within the scope of transactions whose one-off value exceeds PLN 15,000 or its equivalent must make payments to the business partner’s bank account specified in the white list.
