The robots of the next generation: perfect team players

Networking robots digitally with a cloud platform and using artificial intelligence (AI) to control autonomous systems is becoming more and more common in many manufacturing companies. In contrast to its predecessors, this new species of robot is safer, more innovative and more cost-effective.

In warehouses you can use different coloured lights, sensors and cameras to select the right items and load them onto other transport robots. In supermarkets, 2D and 3D cameras and sensors enable them to count inventory, detect misplaced items, check prices or determine which items need replenishment.

It is also possible to equip them with additional sensors, such as a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor transmits the temperature on site, which allows the company to concentrate on the products that are most in demand in the weather.

These innovations are creating a new human-computer interaction that is fundamentally changing the world of work and the customer experience.
